What is Start Los Angeles?

Start Los Angeles is a creative event space located in Harvard Heights It's designed for art shows, pop-ups, workshops, private parties, brand activations, and more. The space reflects the Secret Walls (anchor tenant) ethos: bold, urban, and community-driven.

What types of events can I host here?

You can host art exhibitions, brand launches, photo/video shoots, private parties, workshops, panels, markets, and more. If you're unsure if your event fits, reach out and we'll discuss!

BOOKING & AVAILABILITY

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance to secure your desired date, though we can occasionally accommodate last-minute bookings depending on availability.

Is there a minimum rental time?

Yes, our minimum rental is 3 hours . Full-day and multi-day bookings are available at discounted rates.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due [e.g. 7 days] before the event.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 30 in advance will receive a full refund minus a processing fee. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable.

Is there a sound system or A/V equipment available?

Yes, we have a basic PA system and projector for a rental fee, For DJ setups or more advanced tech, we can connect you with trusted vendors.

Can I customize or decorate the space?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to brand or decorate the space, but all installations must be approved in advance and removed post-event.

OTHER POLICIES

Do you require insurance?

Yes, we require a certificate of liability insurance for all events. We can guide you through the process if needed.

Do you provide staff or security?

Staff and security can be added to your rental for an additional fee. Some events may require security based on size or nature.

Is there parking available?

Parking onsite! Street parking is also available.
